Question: Why YAK-Server using Security certificate?
Answers:
- When connecting to a server using a security certificate for the first time,
the client (your device) needs to verify the server's identity to ensure
- it's nake sure connecting to the legitimate server and not a malicious imposter.
This ensures data privacy, protects against cyber threats, and builds trust with users.
- Server certificates protect private data from cyber-attacks and unauthorized access
by ensuring that connections between users and servers are safe and encrypted.
- It is crucial to check server certificates to maintain trust and prevent security risks
like hacking and man-in-the-middle attacks. Validation helps ensure that online exchanges are safe and reliable
- This verification involves a process called a TLS/SSL handshake,
which includes the client validating the server's certificate.
